Everybody likes pictures of their favorite Rock and Roll bands. Milwaukee fans are no different. When I was looking up the band Avery's Boneyard, I found a link to a favorite Rock and Roll band of mine. They just started the gallery, but I know more pictures will be up soon. Binky Tunny at BBC in Milwaukee

Miramar Theater Milwaukee

I like the Miramar Theater for Rock shows. The management is great at Miramar. They have a variety of music ranging from rock and roll to rap. Last year, they hosted a low level wrestling match. The Miramar Theater is located around restaurants and my favorite record store Atomic Records. Check it out sometime.

Highway 13 and the big drums

I saw Hwy 13 play at City Haul in Racine a couple weeks back. The drummer's drums were enormous. The band played classics from AC/DC along with their original rock music. The Hwy13 guys were very nice to say the least. City Haul is a typical old school bar. I saw a lot of 80's style patrons there. They were into the music for sure. Racine has something over Milwaukee when it comes to rock and roll fans.

Milwaukee Rocks for 2008

New Years Eve is for the rookies. I have been to lots of rock and roll shows in Milwaukee on New Year's Eve, but the entire evening seems so diluted. What Rock band do you see in Milwaukee that night. I would rather see the Intense Ink show on December 28th at The BBC. That rock and roll show will feature Harsh Reality from Minneapolis. Jendeen is quite possibly the best drummer in the Midwest.

Shows that Feature Milwaukee Rock and Roll

I like the band On A Sun. Unfortunately, they are playing for the big record contract, instead of the fans. Sometimes you can see it in their style. They seem to have a manager that wants to drink from their fountain and score the big money. Still, I like them. I like the Rock and Roll band Crumpler. I like the rock bands that have something to say in their music. Lots of Milwaukee bands have great lyrics. Great Rock and roll bands in Milwaukee play The Rave, but I don't go there too much. I really like the new Milwaukee venue Turner Hall.

The State of The Union Address Milwaukee Style

I pledge to comment fairly on the Milwaukee rock music scene. I might comment on national touring bands, local rock bands, international rock bands, playing shows in Milwaukee, touring the world, my views, my ideas, me me me. Ok, with that address out of the way, I would like to say that my favorite club to play and see shows is currently Points East Pub. The sound man was top notch, the room was full of rock fans, and I left the club happy.
