Greather Milwaukee Auto Show | A Great Way To Check Out New Cars

The Greater Milwaukee Auto Show began this week, continuing a tradition that has brought car-makers and lovers together for years. The annual trade-show opened it's doors on Saturday, at the Delta Center, and it is expected that over half-a-million patrons will attend the event before it wraps-up on Sunday March third.

According to analysts, Wisconsin has been a leader in the upward trend of car sales in recent years, especially compacts. The Automotive Dealers Association of Mega Milwaukee says that it expects sales of lighter, smaller, and more fuel efficient cars to increase heavily in 2013, and that makes the city a prime place for manufactures to show their new wares.

Nearly every major car-maker has a presence at the event. Ford rolled out it's new 2013 Mustang for the show, as did Dodge with the brand-new Charger and Challenger. Japanese manufacturers such as Honda and Toyota brought their highly popular compact models to Milwaukee for display, as well as a number of hybrids.

Motor Trend Brings Aston Martin To Milwaukee

Motor Trend, the producers behind the show added some extra glam to this year's event, however. Highlighted by the exact Aston Martin driven by Roger Moore as James Bond in “Die Another Day”, patrons will have the chance to view luxury cars rarely seen on city streets.

Complete with protruding missiles and front-facing machine-guns, 007's Aston Martin is just the first in an array of high-end vehicles on display at the Delta Center for the event. Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini will all have their newest models rolled out for the show, as will Bugatti, with a prototype McLaren P1. And, while attendees will not be able to sit in the cars, Sony will be offering a promotional photo-shoot of patrons that they will then superimpose into the driver's seat of the person's car of choice.

Tickets for the Auto Show will be $10 for adults thirteen and older. $8 for seniors and students, and $5 for children seven-to-twelve. Kids under the age of seven get in free! Special ticket pricing is available on the final day of the event, Sunday March third, when kids under fifteen will be admitted free for Family Day. Official parking for the event will be housed at the Grand Avenue Mall's parking structure. $6 dollar all-day parking will be available there every day of the event. Street parking is also available, as per the City of Milwaukee parking regulations.

Brewers TV And Radio Spring Training Schedule For 2013 |

Brewers Spring Training TV and Radio Schedule
The Milwaukee Brewers announced late last week the media schedule for coverage of the 2013 spring training games. Thirty-four games will be split between television, radio, and webcasts on the team's official homepage. The majority of the broadcast exhibition matches will be covered from the team's Spring Training home at Maryvale Park, though a pair of preseason games against the White Sox will be streamed from Miller Park.

Seventeen of the thirty-four covered games will be broadcast solely on the team's Major League Baseball homepage. Starting on February twenty-third, the team will first take on Oakland at Maryvale. Another five consecutive games will be webcast over the next five days, all at Maryvale except a February twenty-seventh match-up at the Royals spring home-away-from-home, Surprise Recreation Campus.

The Brewers webcast is highlighted by a March fifth special exhibition game against Canada's World Baseball Classic team, which includes Brewers reviler John Axford. The webcast schedule concludes on the twenty-fifth of that month with a game at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, the A's spring venue.

Fox Sports Wisconsin's Bill Schroeder and Brian Anderson will join radio's Joe Block on the play-by-plays for the webcast.

Block and Bob Uecker will be on the call for all sixteen spring games broadcast on the Brewers Radio Network at WTMJ 620. Kicking off the state-wide coverage on March first, the Brewers meet Colorado at Talking Sticks before welcoming the Angels to Maryvale on the second. A two game radio hiatus takes effect following that game. Coverage returns on the sixth for a meeting with Seattle.

Fox Sports Wisconsin will televise five games during March, including the first of two final exhibition matches at Miller Park against the White Sox. That game will air on Friday the twenty-ninth at 7:10PM, while the first of the five televised games will be shown from Maryvale at 3:05PM against the Dodgers. Schroeder and Anderson will call plays for three of the five Fox Sports broadcasts, while another two, a March nineteenth game against the Angels and a game on the twenty-fourth against the Padres, will be broadcast by other regions of Fox Sports, and will be hosted by those region’s on-air personalities.

Samuel Dalembert Has Huge Night As Bucks Eye Trade Options

Samuel Dalembert Milwaukee Bucks
Bucks reserve Samuel Dalembert had a historic night on Tuesday. Perhaps he felt pressure to up his value before the trade deadline. Perhaps he took advantage of the over-zealous defense of Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings. Or perhaps it was just his night. Scoring thirty-five points off the bench against the Denver Nuggets, as well as managing twelve rebounds, the backup center became just the third player in NBA history to do so in a game. Not since 2005 had a replacement had such a successful night. Portland's Darius Miles did so then, and it was nearly twenty years prior to that that the Seventy-Sixers Ron Anderson put up those numbers. The career-high bested his previous mark by twenty points, and set the bar for most points scored in a single game this season by a reserve.

Dalembert had just twenty-seven minutes of playing time to put up the impressive stats. Hitting ten of his first eleven shots, he had over twenty points before halftime. With another seven in the second, the center ended the night at seventeen-and-twenty-one, including two assists and a block.

Nuggets head coach George Karl admitted that he had put some extra coverage on Jennings and Ellis during the game, leaving Dalembert essentially open most of the night. Talking to reporters post game, Karl said that he knew Dalembert had a good shot, but was not expecting the center to put up the numbers he did. Jokingly, Karl said that he was happy to have played a role in the rejuvenation of Dalembert's career.

Dalembert Shines After Skiles Departs Milwaukee

The thirty-one year old has benefited highly from the exit of previous head coach Scott Skiles. Falling out of the rotation for twenty games under Skiles leadership earlier this season, Dalembert has seen a dramatic increase in playing time with Jim Boylan at the helm.

He has more than certainly recognized the opportunity. Playing in consecutive games last week against the Bulls and the Pistons, Dalembert had a pair of double-doubles, highlighted by thirteen rebounds against Chicago. With Tuesday's performance he has also shown he has the ability to recover from a few lousy showings over the weekend, including going scoreless in six minutes off the bench on Saturday against Orlando.

While Dalembert's name may have dominated the headlines surrounding Tuesday night, the Bucks still fell short of a victory. Karl's defense of Ellis and Jennings proved extremely effective, keeping the pair to a combined eleven-of-thirty-six. A prominent three-point defense also shut down Ersan Ilyasova's eight-game streak of at least two three-pointers, as well as Jennings seven game streak.
